the staff were super friendly and really knowledgeable about the castle, it was such a unique experience. we loved exploring the grounds and especially the keep, so much history! our room was comfy and the games room was a blast for the kids! breakfast was really tasty too, just an all around great stay.
the parking was limited and we had to park quite far from the entrance. also, some of the interiors felt a bit worn and could use a little sprucing up.

Family with kids will enjoy the adventure
The castle is everything you would expect from a historic building, including all its little idiosyncrasies, however that made it fun. The kids loved it, they called it 'Spooky Castle' and ran riot having fun with the hanging armor and giant portraits. It was a real adventure.
It wasn’t expensive, but still acceptable.

Improved accessibility for seniors would be beneficial.
